Marketing Director & Events Coordinator
Sophie is thrilled to be joining the Northern Sky Theater family in her first year as the Marketing Director and Event Coordinator. Originally from Boulder Creek, California, Sophie spent much of her early life visiting family in Madison, Wisconsin and becoming used to the change in season and snow. She graduated in 2018 from Ripon College with a degree in theatre and music and moved to the twin cities where she worked for The National Theatre for Children during the day and acted professionally at night. Sophie first came to Door County in 2016 where she saw her first Northern Sky show, thanks to her husband, Jimmy Balistreri, and instantly fell in love with the company, the songs, and the mission. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys camping with her husband, taking walks in state parks, and drinking lots of tea. She would love to thank her family for all their love and support in getting her to where she is today.
